Bon Jour came from my heart and from my years of working with seniors and individuals with disabilities. I saw a need for a welcoming place where adults experiencing cognitive changes could keep exercising their minds, connect with others, build friendships, and enjoy meaningful activities in a small-group setting.
I also want families to understand what makes Bon Jour different.
We are not an adult day care or personal care facility. Bon Jour is a cognitive and social wellness center for individuals who can manage their own personal care needs while participating. Our staff focuses on cognitive coaching, social engagement, movement, and activities; we are not staffed or equipped to provide assistance with activities of daily living. If a participant needs this type of assistance, they may attend with their own caregiver or sitter.
Through Fit Minds® Cognitive Coaching, conversation, movement, and purposeful activities, my goal is to help each person continue using their strengths and abilities while staying socially connected and engaged.
I’m personally involved at Bon Jour and enjoy getting to know our clients and their families. Seeing someone make a new friend, laugh with the group, participate in an activity, or feel proud of something they accomplished is what makes Bon Jour so special to me.
Bon Jour is more than a business to me. It is a place I’m proud to have created for individuals who can benefit from cognitive stimulation, meaningful social connection, and a sense of belonging.
